Bremer Bank

A 90-year staple in the South Saint Paul community, Bremer Bank was previously in an existing multi-tenant building on a street experiencing a significant revitalization.  A new site was selected adjacent to their current facility and Studio EA developed a bright, open, light filled architectural solution. The collaboration with Bremer Bank developed new concepts in banking resulting in an amazing building that reimagines how Bremer interacts with their customers. The facility centers around the banking plaza. In the plaza clients are welcomed by a customer service bar for casual interactions that don’t require a transaction. Traditional teller windows are now served by individual partner tables for financial transactions. Semi-private transactions are completed in work-shop areas that are visibly open but acoustically private. Upstairs in the building is the Bremer-to-Bremer Plaza that includes a break room for staff and clients and an executive conference room for private meetings and group functions. The exterior of the building reflects the crisp blue and white scheme of the Bremer Bank brand. Large overhangs and patio space welcomes pedestrians and clients while providing an exterior space for staff. An easterly screen wall allows beautifully filtered daylight into the building while creating a textural quality to the elevation.
