BOH Electronics

Built in the 1890s, North Hudson railroad car repair shops operated until 1957, and today, many small businesses are renovating them. BOH Electronics, a company passionate about staying in North Hudson, took on the challenge of the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha Railroad building.

Because the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it required significant and careful historic restoration. We helped this cable and wire harness manufacturer create both a unique office space and a highly functional manufacturing space within. The undertaking included repairing brick, insulating and updating systems. In addition, we chose windows that would match the profile of the historic exterior.

The finished building maintains the history of its manufacturing roots and the Italian immigrants who worked there. And, it’s the setting for a new chapter of this growing business’ story.
