Air Motion Systems

The leading U.S.-based manufacturer of high-speed curing equipment for printing, drying and industrial finishing, Air Motion Systems decided to move its entire company cross-country to River Falls, Wisconsin. It sought a European-influenced design with advanced green building technologies.

After collaborating with Air Motion to understand its vision for sustainability, we designed a 36,000-square-foot facility to house corporate offices, manufacturing, inventory and research development. The new building, which has earned silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, features an automated solar-powered skylight, low VOC finishes, and geothermal heating and cooling. It’s 29% more efficient and produces 100 fewer tons of carbon dioxide than the standard code-compliant building. And it uses 50% less water for an annual savings of more than 48,000 gallons.
