Pinewood Cabin

Nestled in a cluster of northern Wisconsin pines and set atop a hill overlooking the lake is inspiration enough for a beautiful cabin. We responded to this amazing site by designing a metal skin that folded from wall to roof and in this simple move created a home that embraced its surroundings and welcomed the outdoors in.

The central gathering room encompassed by the vaulted ceiling houses the entry, kitchen, dining and living room while separating the owner’s suite from the guest suite. Walnut ceilings and soffit are a nod to traditional cabin design while the tile fireplace and heated concrete floors continue the contemporary theme.
