Lyon Residence

Originally built in the late 1800s, this home had undergone the mid-1960s addition connecting the home and garage and a mid-1980s master bedroom addition. When the family approached us, it sought to reorganize and update the space.

To create focus and formality, we designed a new front entry porch while residing and painting the entire home for unity. On the inside, we transformed a small dining room, small kitchen and two separate living areas into a more usable space that included a large entry, mudroom, kitchen, dining room and living room – all featuring a new Brazilian cherry wood floor. We also updated the guest bathroom and added a commercial range and custom-designed stainless steel sink to the kitchen.
